Be Charlotte – Do Not Disturb

Two years on from her Heart of Survival EP Charlotte Brimner aka Be Charlotte returns with a new single ‘Do Not Disturb’.

The songs simple premise finds Charlotte after an argument with persons unknown unable to talk to them. This very clever everyman approach to songwriting will find this songs lyrics resonating with a great many people.

Starting on piano and voice the song slowly builds to a lush electronica soundscapes without ever sounding over produced. Whoever was at the desk has a very deft touch and understands Charlotte’s songs and voice well.

The song is coupled with a slick video filmed in a Berlin warehouse which sees a confused Charlotte running away as she “needs a little space”, telling the song’s story vividly.

Charlotte has built a reputation as a hard-working individual. This is evident in the sheer quality of this track. Given how long it’s been since we’ve heard from her, I don’t think it will be long before we see a full-length LP from Charlotte. When that happens, I predict a meteoric rise for this incredibly talented Dundonian.

‘Do Not Disturb’ is out now on all usual digital channels but you can check out the video below now.
