The Stone Roses – All For One

Just over an hour ago The Stone Roses released their first new music in roughly 22 years.

‘All For One’ was broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (is that still a thing?) and much of the UK’s (now ageing) original indie kids sat glued as if it was the mid-nineties ready to hear it. Not long after playing the track appeared on the usual streaming sites for the rest of us to hear (it is 2016 after all).

The Stone Roses have not disappointed their faithful by releasing a track that sounds pretty much 20 years old. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, it is damned good (John Squire’s guitar solo is sublime!) The question though is do I want to hear new 1994 sounds in 2016?
