Otherkin – King Tut’s, Glasgow – 01/10/17

Dublin’s Otherkin released their debut album OK last Friday, and after the celebrations immediately jumped into a UK tour supporting Inheaven.

Two days later they were climbing atop drumkits, dancing in amongst the crowd, and generally rocking out in Glasgow’s famous King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut. OK is an album worth listening to for sure, but seeing Otherkin live is an altogether greater experience.

Playing to a modest crowd – but performing as if it were a sold out arena – the band put in a performance that left me wanting way more. From the get-go the band were up for tonight’s show. Each song played as if it were their last, and with a commitment to ensuring everyone in the room enjoyed each note, Otherkin are a great live band.

You owe it to yourself to listen to OK, but you really REALLY owe it to yourself to catch Otherkin live. You won’t regret it.
