As we’ve come to expect from firm Scramble favourites We Came From Wolves, latest single ‘The Peak Beneath the Sea’ is a step up again from anything released before. Even through a number of lineup changes, this band seems to hit the ground running and produce hit after hit so it’s no surprise that this offering is nothing short of spectacular.
Dark and heavy tones are spat out in parallel across both lyrical and sonic acoustics, touching on the darker side of the bands past, present and future. A future that perhaps shines a little brighter than the song suggests.
Frontman Kyle Burgess knows how to write a catchy, rocky hit. It helps that he’s also managed to bring in guys who can quickly gel with himself and long-serving bassist Rob Whytock and not only perform to a high standard live, but also harness the raw and powerful talents on record.
You can listen for yourselves when ‘The Peak Beneath the Sea’ is released on Friday 5th May. The same day they’re due to headline Glasgow’s Garage Attic on the penultimate stop of their Scottish Tour before finishing things off the following evening in Bathgate’s Dreadnought Rock.
Loves getting his gig on but also loves to get behind a camera and capture music in the making. Check out akgphotos.com for more.
