Benjamin Folke Thomas – Copenhagen 30/6

In anticipation of upcoming album Copenhagen which is released on 3rd March, Swedish country/folk singer Benjamin Folke Thomas has released a video for the single ‘Copenhagen 30/6’.

The track itself is hopefully a sign of things to come. A soulful, folksy, retrospective and sad love song that is quite beautifully crafted.

The accompanying video is heart warming as it is divided between young Ben & his sweetheart making their home & old Ben seemingly lonely at the same home. A lovely moment where young Ben hangs a framed review from the Washington Post, where old Ben then straightens the frame on the wall which sets the tone of the video and matches to the mood of the song. It’s a perfect accompaniment to the story played out in Folke Thomas’ lyrics. A beautifully made video for a beautifully performed track.

With the forthcoming album promising to be Benjamin Folke Thomas’ best work to date, this lead single and video only enhances anticipation.

Indie kid at his core but has been known to love anything with a beat. Sucker for a slide guitar a catchy chorus. Happiest with a beer at a gig.
