Sunset Sons have released a video for new track ‘VROL’. Whilst that sounds simple enough, things aren’t quite as simple as they sound, the video was created interactively.
Fans were asked to visit the band’s Facebook page and invited to comment a single word that reminded them of their favourite ex-boyfriend/girlfriend. They could then watch whilst the band filmed the video live and their words were projected onto a screen behind frontman Rory Williams.
Guitarist, Rob Windram says, “VROL is a blistering indie disco tune. It brought the studio alive and playing it onstage is gonna be a blast!” while drummer, Jed Laidlaw adds, “VROL was always meant to be on the album, it just wasn’t quite ready. Now that we’ve had a little more time, it’s exciting to have something new for everyone.”
Released to coincide with 23-track Digital Deluxe version of debut album Very Rarely Say Die, you can see the finished video below and also follow this link to see behind the scenes footage of the video.
