Black Peaks – Glass Built Castles

black-peaks-glass-built-castlesDamn. They’ve only gone and done it again. Brighton quartet Black Peaks have released an absolute beast of a single in ‘Glass Built Castles’. The new Kings of prog castle have done no harm to their title and reputation with yet another epic four minutes and twenty seconds of utter musical genius.

We’re led in with a muted-yet-frantic drum and guitar intro before suddenly being gripped by the screams of frontman Will Gardner only to be gently dropped into a serene and sincere verse where Gardner’s more elegant virtues can be identified. All this before we’re galloping through a chorus that’ll be sung out in venues across the UK over the coming months. From here we rise and fall throughout a track that will leave you wanting more.

There’s good news – this is the latest single to be released from Black Peaks’ upcoming album Statues, due out at the beginning of April, and is yet another reason to get excited for what I feel is going to be one of the top albums of the year.

Another great track from one of the most promising and talented bands of 2016 and if you don’t believe me, check them out for yourself…
